Drop P2P is a peer-to-peer file transfer Chrome extension and web app. Its single purpose is to help users transfer files directly between their own devices using WebRTC.

Data We Do Not Collect

Drop P2P does not collect, sell, or share browsing history, website content, keystrokes, passwords, contacts, location, or unrelated user activity.

File Transfers

Files are transferred directly between devices over a WebRTC peer-to-peer data channel. File contents are not uploaded to, stored on, or processed by Drop P2P servers.

Signaling Data

To create a peer-to-peer connection, Drop P2P uses a Cloudflare Worker signaling service. This service temporarily processes session IDs, WebRTC offer and answer data, and basic transfer metadata such as file count and total size. This data is used only to connect the devices and is short-lived.

License And Payment Data

If a user upgrades to Pro, Drop P2P may store the email address provided by the user and a paid status flag to unlock Pro features. Card payments are handled by Creem. Bank transfer payments may be verified by SePay. Drop P2P does not store card numbers or bank login credentials.

Local Data

The extension may store preferences such as language, email, and local Pro unlock status in the browser's local storage. This data stays on the user's device unless it is sent to the signaling service for license verification or payment confirmation.

Permissions

Drop P2P requests only the permissions needed for its core purpose:
